How is the system installed?

If you are unable to have your system installed on the spot, our representatives will schedule an appointment to install the home unit and test the service at a future date at your convenience. Installation usually takes less than an hour. They will also answer any questions to ensure you are fully comfortable using the service.

What if I move?

It is very easy for us to transfer your system and install it in your new home. Please be sure to give us several weeks notice so that we can ensure a technician is scheduled to serve you.

Is the pendant and system easy to use? How will I learn to use it?

Pulse strives to provide simplicity when it comes to our technology to ensure our clients are comfortable to use it. When installed, our medical representative will carefully explain the system so that you can confidently understand how it works. How can I be sure the system is working?

Our monitoring companies perform tests on a weekly basis to ensure that signals are being properly received from your panel. These tests will never disturb you at your home, nor will you be aware they are occurring. These silent tests will make sure that your system is always transmitting and receiving signals, therefore to ensure your system is working properly. You can also be rest assured that Pulse is always monitoring you.

What happens if the power goes out?

In the event of a power failure, your system is armed with a back-up battery that will keep your device working for over 48 hours. When the power is restored, the back-up battery will be recharged therefore it successful works in the future if another power outage occurs.

Will pressing my medical alert device cause me to have higher telephone bills?

We understand as seniors you are on a strict budget, which is why all help and test calls to the monitoring station are done through a toll-free number that is programmed in to your panel. Therefore, at no extra cost for you!

How far away from the home unit will the medical alert button work?

The pendant will work in any room and floor in your home. Whether it is the basement, or upstairs bathroom, you will always be protected. The range is 250 feet from the wall panel. It can often work from outside on your porch or even in your garden. During the initial installation, a medical sales representative will test the range after installation and inform you.
